Thank You for Visiting Our Website
The Bonners Remnant Church is a local, congregational, and
truly Protestant church located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. We have been
worshipping together since 1991 to promote and uphold the truth that Jesus is
Lord, the proclamation of the perpetuity of God's Ten Commandments as the
moral standard for mankind, and belief that Jesus is soon to come in power and
great glory.
What we believe:
1 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness." (II Timothy 3:16). The only safe path for mankind is to
study and follow the principles presented in the entirety of scripture, both in
the Old and New Testaments. We further believe in that inspiration as
revealed in the 1611 King James version.
2 - "God is love." (I John 4:8;16). God's nature and
Ten Commandment law reflects that love. His love was manifested in the
incarnation of his only-begotten son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. "For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
3 - Jesus is coming again. His coming will not be in
secret, but will be visible, audible, and witnessed by the entire world.
(John 14:1-3; Revelation 1:7). Christ died for the sins of all mankind and faith
in Jesus is our only hope of everlasting life. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Matthew 1:21).
Salvation is full and free to all who believe. (Acts 4:12; Romans
5:15-21).
4 - The Seventh day is the Sabbath. The Sabbath was
ordained of God on the seventh day of creation week to be kept as the memorial
of God's creative power, rulership of his universe, and a sign of loyalty for
the subjects of his grace. (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11).
5 - God does not change. The Sabbath was thought to be
changed from the seventh day to the first day of the week by the man of sin as
predicted in Daniel 7:25. Sunday is actually the pagan day of worship, not
the day ordained of God. God expects his people to honor him by keeping
all of his commandments. (John 14:15).
6 - The final warning to mankind is recorded in Revelation
14:6-12; Revelation 18:1-4 and has been going to the world since the mid 1800's.
The prophecies of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 are being fulfilled in our
generation.
7 - Death is sleep awaiting one of two resurrections.
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in
the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good,
unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the
resurrection of damnation." (John 5:28-29). "For to him that is joined to
all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing,
neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have
they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun."
(Ecclesiastes 9:4-6).
